Mitolo wines is a family owned company, which was established in 1999 by Frank and Simone Mitolo. Their vision is to create individual and handcrafted wines that are built on passion and an uncompromising commitment to quality.Frank’s background is in horticulture. His family company, Comit Farm is the largest packer and exporter of potatoes and onions in the Southern Hemisphere.

In 2000 Frank formed a partnership with his friend, Ben Glaetzer (Glaetzer Wines) Frank and Ben identified three key elements: outstanding fruit, non-interventionist winemaking and super fine oak. This resulted in Mitolo’s first wine; 2000 G.A.M. McLaren Vale Shiraz. The fusion of Ben’s winemaking talent and Frank’s business acumen and intimate knowledge of the land have resulted in an exciting venture producing special and unique wines.
